> From the WeatherWatch archives

Most of New Zealand is in for a calmer, sunnier weekend – with frosty nights and slightly milder days.

A large high will cross the country this Friday to Monday.

A few lingering showers may affect coastal parts of Hawkes Bay and Gisborne until Monday, but mainly dry weather is still expected there.

By early next week a warm sub-tropical wind flow moves in – bringing a much warmer week to the entire nation.
