A showery Sunday?

> From the WeatherWatch archives

For some, Sunday could end up being a bit on the wet side.

A weak disturbance is expected move north across the South Island tomorrow.  This could produce some showers for the deep south and the West Coast during the morning hours.  The rest of the South Island could see some showers during the afternoon, although chances aren’t quite as good.

I don’t think this will be an all-day thing.  But I think that the lower and western regions of the SI will see at least a bit of showers tomorrow, with lesser chances north and east.

For the North Island, the lower regions are likely to be cloudy in the morning and afternoon.  Showers could move in toward sunset.  Chances are small to begin with, but will increase the later you get into the evening.

The rest of the island should see a mix of sun and clouds, with the emphasis on clouds, during the daylight hours.  Shower chances will move in after sunset.
