A moist Monday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Almost the entire country should see some rain or showers at some stage today, with temperatures in the mid to high teens in northern and central regions and cooler conditions are likely further south.

It’s the first week of the school holidays and the weather is set to be changeable, with periods of showers or rain but also fine and sunny spells are expected in the mix.

Windy conditions are possible on one or two days this week for much of the nation but a relatively calm and settled spell is more than a distinct possibility.

The west of the South Island shouldn’t see too much moisture today but their not let off the hook either, as northerlies late in the week may indeed bring a decent dumping of rain.

Thunder could be heard in the distance and heavy rain showers have passed by.
Blue sky appeared for a short time high in the troposphere.
Good weather for ducks, birds will enjoy the worms too.
