Urban search and rescue teams have found no bodies inside Christchurch Cathedral.
They’ve completed their search of the building, and the collapsed spire.
There were initially thought to be 22 people inside the cathedral’s tower when the quake struck.
Superintendent Sandra Manderson says teams have cleared the Cathedral and found no bodies in or around it.
She said there was nobody found in the tower and no bodies in the main church.

from what I have read from reports of witnesses, the spire collapsed right at the end of the shaking, so maybe everyone got out in time, as soon as the shaking started
but also it sounds like the CTV footage shows there just happened to be no one in it…maybe because it was lunch time everyone was outside having lunch?
