A frosty start – #WeatherRisks on Friday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

There aren’t many serious weather risks in the pipeline today, though inland places in both islands have had a chilly start to the morning.

Taumaranui is currently (7am) sitting at -1.5C, while Queenstown isn’t much warmer – just 0.5C in the positive.

Most places with limited cloud cover and no wind should get a light-ish frosting this morning – and obviously the further inland and more sheltered, the higher the risk of a frost.

It isn’t earth shatteringly cold, but still a morning for a hot shower first thing!

No frost in New Lynn. A perfectly clear, beautiful day here.
