A chilly start – #WeatherRisks for Friday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

The week is ending on a calmer note than we’ve seen recently – with nothing much in the way of risky business.

Calm conditions and clear skies do mean one thing for inland parts of both islands, however – a frosty start for some!

Temperatures were in or around the low single digits in Wanaka, Alexandra, Gore and Taupo early this morning, while many other places will be starting the day off pretty chilly too!

Nelson and the upper North Island have seen some overnight showers – but other than this, most places are looking pretty uneventful.
