Using New Zealand’s most powerful weather supercomputer, IBM’s Watson, WeatherWatch.co.nz has crunched the rainfall numbers across the country to generally make sense of what rain is coming in this long holiday weekend.
The forecast is a little patchy/hit and miss for some regions while others have more sustained rainfall.
Basically a cold front moves into the West Coast tonight and across Saturday, then on Sunday brings rain, showers and drizzle patches in to a number of regions in both islands, before clearing away slowly on Monday out to the east (and perhaps lingering around the North Island’s east coast in particular for a time).
We’ll update this again on Saturday in our news feed.
