As of 2024 we will no longer be publishing questions related to weather forecasts if they are answered via our hyper-local hourly & 10 day forecasts, weather maps and regular daily and monthly weather & climate videos.
We’re a small NZ business with limited resources to respond to general weather questions. Our social media pages may be helpful to you, especially if you want to often talk (or groan!) about your local weather. You can find more resources from us here if that’s your thing.

Hi Phil & weather watch team.
Excellent commentary across the weather over the summer months.
Just wondering if any long range computer that you have, shows a change or at least decent break between the dominant highs to allow for, maybe a chance of a low of decent wetter weather to come into the New Zealand area.
Cheers
Jared.

Hey Jared,
Thanks for the support!
Our March outlook will be released around March 1st – hard to lock in what will happen in March this far out but our videos next week/last week of Feb will start to paint the picture.
Loads of energy to our north and our south – but some solid/calming/settled high pressure moving in to our area too.

Hi guys,
Appreciate the good work.
Just to let you know it appears a station in Motueka is down, has been for a few days at least.
IMOTUE11 I believe was the coding.
Cheers,
Jon.

Thanks Josh,
The Commerce Commission is supportive of us with our issues with Niwa and we hope the new merger (of Niwa and MetService) finally sees a management change at Niwa – as the current CEO (who is aggressively commercial in his approach to small businesses) has been there 17+ years, which seems excessively long for a democracy.
Cheers
Philip Duncan
