hey ww . are we expected to see more active fronts move into auckland like thursday night – early sunday morning this month? lots of thudner/lightning last few days.

Hi Josh, hard to know sorry – spring is very changeable but the mix of warm and cool air is a good recipe for thunderstorms, especially when there is a westerly for northern NZ but a southerly over the Tasman Sea.

i see in the tasmin there are quite a fair amount of lightning activity. normally in wersterly set ups like this this can happen. i wonder if there might be a tornado somewhere in western nz this week? normally in these set up we do. not much tornadoes this year in nz
