If you have any questions about functionality of our website(s) or app, trying to locate maps or data, or have a simple comment/feedback - please post a comment below!

As of 2024 we will no longer be publishing questions related to weather forecasts if they are answered via our hyper-local hourly & 10 day forecasts, weather maps and regular daily and monthly weather & climate videos.

Weโ€™re a small NZ business with limited resources to respond to general weather questions. Our social media pages may be helpful to you, especially if you want to often talk (or groan!) about your local weather.ย You can find more resources from us here if thatโ€™s your thing.

Have questions of a commercial nature? Contact us directly here.

Thanks for your support!

Donโ€™t forget to check out our RuralWeather.co.nzย website (great for event planning or attending + camping!) and also, our brand new Weather Alerting App!

Your Tauranga temp report Monday 4th Nov 8am was 10c, then at 8:14am 17c but it was 14c at that time

any idea on when this weathers going to ease up on us down south. Its getting bloody hard to keep going. Any sun would be ideal right now. Surely it will even out this summer

Hey guys, 1WHITI1 still not working.
Keep up the excellent work!

Ray Allen on 2/11/2024 6:33am

Evening has come and you were right! Well done lads.

WW Forecast Team on 2/11/2024 7:31am

Great to know Ray, thanks! We use the worldโ€™s most accurate data via The Weather Company and then add our own local forecasting on top. Weโ€™re always working to make it more accurate too.

I see your forecast for today shows no rain yet Met service show showers turning to rain later. Why such variation in the forecast?

WW Forecast Team on 1/11/2024 8:54pm

If we were all the same youโ€™d only need one single source of forecasting. We all interpret the data in our own ways, much like how two restaurants side by side can create two different menus by using the same ingredients. Up to you to decide who is consistently more accurate and more to your tastes.

Hi Team,
My husband and I love Weather Watch, this is our favourite weather site, we think your forecasts are the most accurate and as we collect rainwater we do a lot of watching! I just have a question about current temperature vs actual temperature, particularly in relation to wind chill, weโ€™ve noticed that some other forecasters display both temperatures, do you think this is relevant in forecasting or not essential? Iโ€™m guessing that your displayed temperatures include any adjustments due to wind and other factors? Just curious, thereโ€™s no hurry for an answer and I hope itโ€™s not a silly question! Thank you for the great forecasting and warnings too, weโ€™ve needed those in Otago lately!

WW Forecast Team on 31/10/2024 7:31pm

Hi Nicola, thanks for the kind comment and your questions. If you download our free app, or use RuralWeather.co.nz, click on the Temperature tab under โ€œTrendsโ€ and you can see both humidex (heat + humidity) and wind chill (temp + wind) alongside the usual forecast temperature. Humidex is especially helpful in summer for humans and livestock management. Windchill is great in winter when it can be windy, cold and damp. These free graphs cover hourly forecasts for all locations in NZ, out for 10 whole days.
Hope you find it helpful!
Kind regards,
Philip Duncan

Hi Phillip,
Thank you for your reply. Thatโ€™s really helpful, Iโ€™ll download the app and have a good look at all of your suggestions, thanks again ๐Ÿ™‚
