Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Mostly sunny with southeasterly winds, breezy about Great Barrier Island.
Highs: 22-23

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

A few morning showers clear, cloud breaks to sunny spells in the afternoon. South to southeasterly winds, gusty about coastal areas.
Highs: 17-20

Eastern North Island

Cloudy with showers easing during the day, dry spells becoming more frequent from afternoon. Gusty southerlies ease during the day.
Highs: 17-18

Wellington

Brisk southerlies, might be a morning shower otherwise a mainly dry day. Cloud breaks in the evening.
High: 15

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny with south to southeasterly winds about Marlborough, afternoon northerlies for Nelson.
Highs: 19-20

Canterbury

Morning cloud breaks to a mostly sunny afternoon, light winds tend east to northeast in the afternoon.
Highs: 16-19

West Coast

Mainly sunny with light winds, tending onshore in the afternoon.
Highs: 19-23

Southland & Otago

Mainly sunny with light winds after any morning cloud clears, a warm afternoon for inland areas.
