A northwesterly airflow increases over the country today, generally still mostly settled weather today although cloud moves into the west with the odd shower for the West Coast of the South Island. Evening rain for Fiordland.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Mostly sunny with light winds. Northland may see some cloud however with the chance of a light shower or two mainly in the west.
Highs: 16-18

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Mostly sunny at first with light west to northwest winds, some cloud moves in this afternoon and evening.
Highs: 14-16

Eastern North Island

Sunny weather with light winds.
Highs: 15-16

Wellington

Sunny areas and some cloud about, northerly winds increase in the evening.
High: 15

Marlborough & Nelson

Mostly sunny with some high cloud, light winds tend northwesterly by midday.
High: 15-18

Canterbury

Mostly sunny weather with light northerly quarter winds by midday, any morning cloud clears.
Highs: 14-15

West Coast

Cloudy areas increase from morning, the odd light drizzle patch possible mainly about South Westland. Rain moves into Fiordland in the evening.
High: 14

Southland & Otago

High cloud increases from morning with northerly winds building in the afternoon, evening spots of rain possible.
Highs: 11-15
