A ridge brings mainly settled weather to the country today extending out from a high in the Tasman Sea, a northwesterly influence will start to build over the South Island however.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Mostly sunny with light winds, low risk of an isolated shower late afternoon / evening otherwise dry.
Highs: 21-24

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Mostly sunny with light winds, a few clouds about the Central North
Island.
Highs: 20-23

Eastern North Island

Mostly sunny weather, light winds in the morning then easterly quarter
winds for the afternoon.
Highs: 20-22

Wellington

Sunny with light northerly winds.
High: 18
Marlborough & Nelson
Mainly sunny, north to northeasterly winds from midday.
Highs: 21-23

Canterbury

There may be some morning cloud otherwise expect mostly sunny weather with
east to northeasterly winds.
High: 19-20

West Coast

Periods of cloud with the odd sunny spell, southwesterly winds.
Highs: 18-19

Southland & Otago

Sunny areas and some high cloud, west to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 20-21
