A southwesterly airflow lies over the country again today, cloudier skies in the east of New Zealand and sunnier overall out west.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Mostly sunny with light winds. Northland sees cloudy periods with southwesterly breezes, the odd shower at times too.
Highs: 22-23

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Sunny areas and some cloud, south to southeasterly winds. Mostly sunny for
the Central North Island with winds tending more southwesterly.
Highs: 18-19

Eastern North Island

Sunny areas and periods of cloud with breezy southwesterly winds.
Highs: 19-20

Wellington

Mostly cloudy with brisk to strong southerlies, the odd shower possible at
times.
High: 16

Marlborough & Nelson

Mostly sunny with southwesterly breezes, winds may tend east to northeast
in the afternoon north of the Wairau Valley. About southern Marlborough
especially near the coast skies are a fair bit clouider with the odd shower at
times clearing evening. Some cloud and an isolated shower or two possible about
the Nelson area later in the evening / overnight.
Highs: 18-19

Canterbury

Mostly cloudy with occasional showers, mainly near the coast with dry
weather inland. Brisk cool southwesterlies.
Highs: 13-14

West Coast

Sunny with light winds.
Highs: 19-21

Southland & Otago

Chance of a light shower or two during the day otherwise mainly dry, Cloudy
although a few clear breaks develop in the evening about Southland and Central
Otago. Cool south to southwesterly winds. Temperatures dropping overnight
especially inland.
High: 13
