Mainly settled about the country today, easterly quarter winds in the east and westerly quarter winds in the west for most. The main chance for a shower or two is about the far south later this afternoon / evening and into overnight.
Northland
Sunny areas and some cloud with east to southeasterly winds, winds may tend southwest along the western coastline in the afternoon. Low risk of an isolated afternoon shower.
Mostly sunny, a few clouds build in the afternoon with the low risk of an
isolated shower. Light winds in the morning then afternoon sea breezes.

Waikato, Central North Island & Bay Of Plenty
Mostly sunny with light winds, some early cloud possible any of which
clears.

Eastern North Island
Mostly sunny with east to northeasterly winds, picking up a little in the
afternoon.
Highs: 22-24
Western North Island
Sunny with light winds in the morning, tending west to southwesterly in the
afternoon.
Sunny with north to northwesterly winds.

Marlborough & Nelson
Sunny with light winds in the morning, afternoon northeasterlies.
Sunny with some late high cloud, light easterly winds near the coast
perhaps tending southerly Banks Peninsula southwards for a time.
Mostly sunny with light west to southwesterly winds. Cloudy periods about
Fiordland with the odd drizzle patch from midday then rain later in the evening
/ overnight, winds more northwest there.

Coastal Otago
Mostly sunny with some high cloud gradually increasing, light winds. Later
in the evening watch for the chance of a shower then towards dawn on Thursday
some rain is possible.
Mostly sunny with west to northwest winds. Some high cloud develops during
the day especially afternoon onwards. Chance of an evening shower then overnight
or towards dawn the next morning some rain may develop.
Mostly sunny with some increasing high cloud, light northwesterlies may
tend southerly in the afternoon. Late afternoon / evening watch for the risk of
an isolated shower. Overnight the odd shower turns to rain.
