A narrow and weak area of low pressure lies over much of the country today while equally weak areas of high pressure lie either side of New Zealand. Fairly cloudy for eastern regions with drizzle or the odd shower about, sunnier out west and for the Bay Of Plenty.

Periods of cloud and sunny areas at times with light southwesterly winds, an easterly quarter sea breeze
may develop in the east during this afternoon.

Bay Of Plenty

Morning cloud with the chance of a light shower then sunny areas devleop,
light winds tend northerly by midday.

Waikato

Mostly sunny with light winds tending westerly.
High: 28

Central North Island

Morning cloud breaks to sunny areas, chance of an isolated shower late
afternoon / evening otherwise dry. Light winds.
Highs: 26-27

Eastern North Island

Mostly cloudy although a few sunny areas are possible this afternoon, the
odd evening light shower. About the ranges of Gisborne and northern Hawkes Bay
there may be an isolated heavy shower late afternoon / evening. Easterly
winds.

Sunny areas and some cloud, light winds this morning then afternoon west to
southwest winds. Warmer weather inland.

Mostly sunny with light winds tending southeasterly later this
