A narrow and weak area of low pressure lies over much of the country today while equally weak areas of high pressure lie either side of New Zealand. Fairly cloudy for eastern regions with drizzle or the odd shower about, sunnier out west and for the Bay Of Plenty.

Mostly cloudy although a few sunny areas are possible this afternoon, the
odd evening light shower. About the ranges of Gisborne and northern Hawkes Bay
there may be an isolated heavy shower late afternoon / evening. Easterly
winds.
Sunny areas and some cloud, light winds this morning then afternoon west to
southwest winds. Warmer weather inland.

Mostly sunny with light winds tending southeasterly later this
afternoon.
Periods of cloud, becoming mostly cloudy this afternoon. Light winds

Cloudy with easterly winds, drizzle at times mainly morning and
evening.
