Sunny spells with westerly winds, easing in the evening.

Some cloud with breezy westerly winds, chance of a shower now and then.
High: 16

Bay Of Plenty

Sunny spells with breezy westerly winds, a few brief afternoon showers
possible.
High: 17

Central North Island & Waikato

Periods of cloud and sunny spells at times, breezy west to southwest winds.
There may be a shower or two during the day especially in the west.
Highs: 15-16

Eastern North Island

Mostly sunny with breezy westerlies, tending southwest in the afternoon
then dying away by evening.
High: 17

Taranaki

Showers clearing in the afternoon then sunny spells breaking though, breezy
southwesterlies die away in the evening.
Highs: 14-15

Western North Island

Occasional showers with breezy northwesterlies, showers clear around midday
as winds tend southwest. Sunny areas increase then too.
High: 15

Wellington

Sunny spells with cool southerlies developing during the morning, a mainly
dry day although there could be a brief shower or two early afternoon.
Southerlies die away in the evening.
High: 13

Nelson

Mostly sunny with southwesterlies easing during the afternoon.
High: 16

Marlborough

Mostly sunny with southwesterly winds easing during the afternoon.
High: 16

Canterbury

Showers (mainly coastal) clearing early afternoon then sunny spells
developing. Fresh south to southwesterly winds ease after midday dying away in
the evening.

West Coast

Any early showers clear then expect sunny spells with light west to
southwesterly winds.

Coastal Otago

A period of morning showers then clearing, afternoon sunny spells with
southerly winds easing.

Central Otago

Morning cloud breaks to mostly sunny weather, light winds.

Southland

Sunny spells with light southeasterlies tending northeast by midday.
