An anticyclone brings mainly settled weather for much of the country today, areas of cloud morning and night are still about however. Auckland northwards sees easterly winds picking up a little this afternoon.

Northland

Mostly cloudy with easterlies, breezy from midday. Odd light shower from evening, mainly in the north.

High: 15

Auckland

Cloudy spells with a few sunny breaks about, easterly winds freshen from
late morning.

High: 14

Bay Of Plenty

Sunny areas and some developing high cloud, easterly winds. Cloud thickens
a little in the evening.

High: 14

Waikato & Central North Island

Mainly sunny with light winds tending easterly about the Waikato, some high
cloud about too.

Highs: 12-15

Eastern North Island

Cloudy areas morning and night with sunny spells by day, light winds. About
Gisborne there may even be some early and late drizzle.

Highs: 12-13

Taranaki

Mostly sunny with southeasterly winds easing away in the afternoon.

High: 14

Western North Island

Mostly sunny with east to southeast breezes.

High: 14

Wellington

Sunny spells with light southeasterly winds.

High: 11

Nelson

Morning cloud breaks to mostly sunny weather, light winds.

Highs: 12-13

Marlborough

Morning cloud breaks to sunny spells, light winds.

Highs: 13

Canterbury

Morning cloud breaks to a mostly sunny afternoon, cloud may roll in again
late afternoon / evening. Light winds tend easterly PM.

Highs: 12-13

West Coast

Any morning cloud clears then mostly sunny weather, light winds.

High: 13

Coastal Otago

Morning cloud breaks to mostly sunny weather, light winds tend easterly
PM.

High: 13

Central Otago

Any morning cloud clears to a mostly sunny day, light winds. There is a
chance some low cloud may hang about some valleys for much of the day.

Highs: 8-11

Southland

Morning cloud then afternoon sunny spells, light westerlies.

High: 13
