Conditions easing over New Zealand today as a low and associated trough pass to the east of the North Island, an anticyclone lurks in the Tasman Sea and will finally make an impact on Friday bringing settled sunny weather for mostly everyone although watch for cool mornings and nights.

Any early showers clear then expect sunny spells and periods of cloud, brisk southwesterlies ease a little in the evening.

Bay Of Plenty, Waikato & Central North Island
Becoming sunny this morning, southwesterly breezes ease in the evening.
Cool temperatures overnight.
Highs: 18-23

Eastern North Island
Any early showers clear then sunny spells increase, brisk southwesterlies ease in
the evening.

High: 19

Western North Island

Any early showers clear with conditions becoming mostly sunny by midday,
south to southwesterly winds.
High: 19

Wellington

Becoming mostly sunny this morning, brisk southerlies ease in the
afternoon.

Nelson

Sunny with light winds tending northerly in the afternoon.

Marlborough

Sunny with light winds tending easterly in the afternoon.
