An anticyclone lies over the country again today, morning cloud breaks in the east and north of the South Island to sunny spells. The North Island is mostly sunny in the south and west, the east coast is cloudy with the odd drizzle patch about.

Mostly sunny with east to southeast breezes, some cloud at times along the eastern coastline.
Highs: 23-24

Auckland

Mostly sunny with light winds tending easterly.
High: 26

Central North Island, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Mainly sunny with light winds, afternoon northerlies for the Bay Of
Plenty.
Highs: 24-27

Eastern North Island

Mostly cloudy skies with the odd drizzle patch, especially in the morning.
East to southeast breezes.
Highs: 22-23

Western North Island

Sunny with some cloud, east to southeasterly breezes. About Taranaki expect
mostly sunny weather and light winds.
Highs: 23-26

Wellington

Mostly sunny with light winds tending easterly.
High: 22

Nelson

Morning cloud clears to sunny weather, light winds at first then afternoon
northerlies.

Morning cloud clears to mostly sunny weather, easterly breezes.

Morning cloud breaks to sunny spells, easterlies a little fresh in the
afternoon especially near the coast.
