An anticyclone spreads a ridge over the North Island today bringing mostly settled weather, although a weak trough brings cloud and the risk of a light shower or two about the Bay Of Plenty. For the South Island a northwesterly airflow increases, conditions will be mostly dry with high cloud in the south later in the day.

Mostly sunny with a few clouds about, southwesterly breezes. Winds tend a
little more southerly about Northland.

Central North Island, Waikato & Bay Of
Plenty
Mostly sunny with light winds tending westerly, some cloud later in the
evening or overnight in western parts of the Central North Island and Waikato.
The Bay Of Plenty sees increasing cloud this morning, chance of a light shower or two early to mid afternoon.

Mostly sunny with light winds at first, afternoon east to northeast winds
which ease later in the evening.

Western North Island
Mostly sunny with light winds in the morning, westerlies from midday. Areas
of cloud move in overnight.
Mostly sunny with northerly developing early in the morning, becoming brisk
in the afternoon.
Sunny with light southwesterlies in the morning, afternoon northerly
breezes.
Sunny with light winds in the morning, north to northwest breezes after
midday.
Becoming mostly sunny this morning with east to northeast breezes near the
coast, northwesterlies inland with warmer temperatures. Northwesterly winds push
through to the coast in the evening.
Sunny with some cloud, westerly breezes. A few showers move into Fiordland
in the evening then further north overnight.
