A large low is rolling in this weekend bringing patchy rain in the north and west and then isolated heavy downpour (some with thunderstorms).
By next week the warm nor’east flow continues across the entire country but on Tuesday a classic cold front moves in with rain in the west and dry and windy in the east.
Then on Wednesday we get a cooler change, only briefly, but enough to maybe see some snow on the South Island ranges. It’s short lived with a large high likely rolling in behind it for next weekend.
