Monday saw a couple of tornados and waterspouts around the North Island causing damage in both Taranaki & BOP. We take a look at what happened, why it happened and what the risks are for further potential thunderstorms and isolated tornado risks.
We also take a detailed look at the forecast right through until the end of Sunday and in a nut shell we head into cooler southerly quarter winds by Friday and Saturday then by Sunday a large high rolls in.
This next high may linger for a few days over both islands bringing settled weather for the end of the weekend and the start of next week.
