Weather Video: Low tracking away; clear skies ahead!

> From the WeatherWatch archives

The low pressure system which has been dominating North Island weather in the past 24 hours will clear away later this evening, although it is being held up by a high pressure system sitting to our East.

Southland and Otago may have some shower activity with the chance of snow, but a high pressure system will start to exert its influence as of Friday.

Marlborough, Wairarapa and Hawke’s Bay could receive a final burst of showers as that low moves away from the country on Friday, and the wind turns nor-east.

Hi there

Best to email Metservice on their snow possibilities if reffering to their forecasts. You can contact them here: enquiries@metservice.com

As to our view, the air does get quite cold later tomorrow along the east coast of the North Island but it doesn’t appear to have much substance to it. There may be a few light snow flurries to 400m tomorrow evening but it doesn’t appear to be much at all and may not even settle, perhaps only a few flurries then the skies look relatively dry.

Cheers
WW
