Friday is calm in many places but as we go into Saturday rain will spread over the North Island with the odd heavy fall. The mild weather continues for many but across Saturday and Sunday colder air will move into the South Island and then eventually the North Island.
Wet weather on Sunday will continue in the North Island and eastern parts of the South Island for a time.
By early next week it will be cooler nationwide but high pressure will be pushing back in and that means frosts and colder nights for some early next week.
Generally next week looks drier, calmer and cooler in many places.
