> From the WeatherWatch archives

Philip Duncan teams up NZHerald.co.nz to bring you the latest on the incoming rain (due to arrive in western and northern regions on Thursday afternoon and night) then the predicted cold change for Sunday.

We have the latest on a likely polar blast for Wednesday and Thursday next week and we track a developing area of low pressure north west of New Zealand.

Philip also explains why Australia has been getting the cold stuff while we’re still getting highs in the 20s.
