Philip Duncan teams up with nzherald.co.nz to bring you the latest on the weekend weather.
A slow moving front has basically stalled over the North Island and coupled with a departing high to the east the North Island will have plenty of cloud, humidity and the odd shower or drizzle patch. Long dry spells are also expected and the shower activity will be fairly isolated.
The South Island looks much sunnier but the northerly flow could see a bit of cloud in coastal areas.
