We still have a few more bursts of rain, showers and winds over the next few days but the pattern into next week is looking pretty positive thanks to a large high.
Between now and Sunday the country has a west to south west wind flow which will be strong and gusty at times in exposed places, most likely the south of both islands, especially the lower South Island.
Temperatures vary depending on the wind direction, warm westerlies but colder sou’westers.
By Sunday and Monday high pressure rolls in and may linger for some regions for much of next week.
