We’re tracking wind and rain across parts of New Zealand with half of the country enjoying a long weekend this weekend.

Meanwhile Australia’s heat in the south is about to give way to a cooler change (although still hot inland) and plenty of downpours and showers over the coming days.

NZ has a repetitive forecast until the middle of next week – but it’s not severe the entire time, with some calmer and drier spells even for the very north this long weekend.
