High pressure slides east of NZ as storms south of the country continue, bringing in strong and windy weather to many regions in the days ahead. Most rain will be in West Coast and lower totals into Southland. Northern and eastern areas look driest, hottest and windiest.

We have your forecast through to Sunday where a possible storm may bring severe weather around the South Island.
