Warmer than average winds will be pushing across New Zealand for the next few days with some places over 8 degrees above normal for this time of the year. The mild weather continues through until about the end of Sunday and start of Monday when a short lived but cold southerly moves in.
Rain returns in the days ahead for western areas and again on Sunday nationwide for Mothers Day – although some areas may only get a burst of morning rain then a sunnier afternoon.
Next week a huge high from Aussie tries to move our way and while it briefly brings some nice weather it’s likely to encourage more windy, wetter, colder sou’westers later in the week.
