VIDEO: Two lows & plenty of rain for NZ this week

> From the WeatherWatch archives

An atmospheric river of rain will slide over the country for Monday and Tuesday as a large low moves through, tapping into tropical airflows.

Mid-week this low will be parked near the lower South Island bringing wintry southerlies there and milder westerlies for the North Island.

Another low with rain moves through on Friday.

Australia has mostly settled weather, but is colder in the south eastern corner. The Tropics area is also relatively quiet, with just the usual passing showers.
