Typical La Nina weather for NZ in the coming days with thunderstorms and widespread downpours across the North Island and part of the South Island – mostly inland areas.
The humid set up is due to a large low in the Tasman Sea which will linger until Sunday before finally falling apart.
Australia is more spring-like with another burst of windy weather, then by Sunday/Monday a wintry change comes back in – with even the chance of snow on the mountains of Tasmania and maybe Victoria. Yes, again!

Agreed Neville,
Big change as a week or two ago it was still a bit cold!
Cheers
