VIDEO: The build up to Easter – high pressure may not last until the long weekend

NZ has a cold change moving up the nation today with weather in the lower half of the South Island – but it is short lived.

On Wednesday, after a colder start (with some frosts through the South Island’s interior), high pressure starts to return from the west and is likely to cover NZ through this coming weekend and into next week, but may move away by Easter Weekend.

We’re also monitoring low pressure in the tropics and the Southern Ocean which might impact our weather for the Easter Weekend. We have your forecast through to Tuesday next week – and we hope to bring you our first hint at potential Easter Weekend weather in our video tomorrow (Wednesday April 9).
