VIDEO: Southerly change in NZ, but high pressure from Australia coming this weekend

> From the WeatherWatch archives

The big southerly that just blasted the south eastern corner of Aussie is now arriving in NZ – and the next day or two will be unsettled with squally showers, gusty winds and much colder air – along with snow on the mountains and ranges.

But a powerful high pressure zone from Australia (which will make most of Australia below normal temperature-wise tonight, including as far north as tropical Darwin!) is also coming to New Zealand, bringing frosts by the end of the week and a sunnier Friday and Saturday to many parts of the country that just had a deluge.

We have your forecast through to Monday across NZ, Australia and the South Pacific.

The video presentation goes 100% green about 5 seconds into the presentation. This is the second time its happened.

I dont believe I’m doing anything wrong ( although if I am I’m happy to change )

Hi Peter, the animated wind maps are sometimes supposed to be bright green at the start of Phil’s show – so are you seeing the presenter green too?
