We’re tracking a large belt of high pressure in the New Zealand area and a likely tropical cyclone around the Coral Sea in our latest weather video.
With high pressure around NZ expect light winds and warm days.
Next week there is the chance of afternoon downpours, perhaps with isolated thunderstorms. In saying that next week is still drier than average for most areas.
We also take a look at northern Queensland and any risks from a developing cyclone next week. It’s not locked in about where it might track but modelling agrees a storm is likely to form – we have the latest.
