Video: NZ’s weather forecast right through until Labour Day Monday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

**Please note, our studio is having some behind the scenes work this week and is out of action for a few days. We aim to be back again by Friday**

An enormous high pressure system parked out over the Tasman Sea will remain in place for the next few days bringing in cloudy weather at times to western NZ, some showers around Southland and Fiordland and the West Coast on Wednesday and warmer than average weather for most of those in the east of both islands.

As we head into the long weekend the high tracks over northern NZ then out to the north east – this allows a warmer sub-tropical airflow down over NZ but will also encourage showers along the entire western coastline, including Northland.

At this stage Labour Day Monday looks mostly dry but a few showers in the north and west and warmer than average in the east.
