VIDEO: NZ’s high pressure vs Australia’s rain – will their rain reach NZ?

The driest parts of NZ are least likely to see wet weather for the rest of March, other than a few showers here and there over the coming days.  While some isolated downpours may bring relief, the general forecast shows most wet weather in the south of NZ.

But Australia has suddenly seen a shift to widespread wet weather around the tropics, and out east over NSW too in the days ahead.

There are some chances this wet weather will drift to NZ later next week in the first few days of April – but for this to happen we need a really big area of high pressure to move away.

Full details in our New Zealand forecast out to Tuesday, April 1st
