VIDEO: NZ looks dry as 3 Tropical Cyclones develop in tropics

High pressure is dominating NZ in the week ahead and while there are some showers most places that are dry today will be even drier one week from now.

These highs are also controlling the movement and path of two tropical cyclones directly north of NZ around the Coral Sea (Cyclone Alfred) and near Fiji and Tonga (Cyclone Rae).

A third tropical cyclone is west of Australia and poses no threat to land.

Despite all the tropical rain north of NZ, the weather here is looking drier than average for every region in the country except Fiordland.
