It’s busy around Australia weather-wise in the days ahead with two tropical cyclones in their area, both hitting fairly remote places though.
Trevor was upgraded to a ‘severe’ Category 3 cyclone on Monday evening by Australian forecasters.
Meanwhile in New Zealand conditions are fairly quiet this week weatherwise but we do have a few downpours, possibly with thunder, in the mix later this week. Generally speaking NZ has high pressure and light winds until the weekend.
Next week there may be a classic cold front arriving – we’ll have more details tomorrow about how next week is shaping up but a windy and wet event is likely one week from today in two thirds of the country.
