VIDEO: High pressure this week for NZ, but windy westerlies return by Friday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

It was windy in a number of regions over the weekend but conditions are now improving as high pressure rolls in across New Zealand.

The high will linger until about Wednesday night, bringing mostly dry weather until then. We then see showers on Thursday and a west to south west change kicking in behind it for Friday.

This weekend sees windy westerlies making for warm and sunny in the east, but cloudy and showery for some in the west.
