A cool down is coming for areas that are hot on Thursday but the incoming cold front won’t really make it up the North Island properly, bringing only a few showers. However those in the east on Thursday (around 30 degrees!) will notice the cooler airflow.

Next week kicks off with high pressure initially – but by Tuesday and Wednesday the windy westerlies return, fuelled by highs north of NZ and big lows south of the country.
