We take a closer look at windy weather about to move across NZ from Australia but we also take a bigger picture look at the tropics to our north.
The main focus over the next 48 hours will be a warm, windy, surge of weather with heavy West Coast rain, while Australia has a widespread cool down thanks to a big southerly change.
We have the forecast for the Melbourne Cup today too.

Hi, love your videos but can you tell me why on the rain scale is there dark blue on the lower range and the high range. Cheers
