The next 48 hours will be cold across NZ with snow to sea level in the South Island including in Dunedin and Christchurch, while snow may fall around parts of Wellington and Wairarapa to low levels.
Overnight the polar southerly moves over the North Island and clears NZ going into Friday.
We have a detailed snow update for Christchurch and Dunedin, plus we take a look at the general weather pattern shaping up next week. Hint: It’s more about the tropics than it is about Antarctica!

Great forecasts
Think anyone who listens to this government is basically one of the sheep who follow the status quo believing all that’s funneled to them..They should practice what they preach regards to fair trading and monopolies. No valid reason to withhold weather information.

Hi Graham, thanks heaps for the kind support! Just to be clear, our issues with the Government aren’t to do with Labour or National – they have both equally ignored the issue, although the National Govt did launch an independent review (the results backed our claims) only to have Labour shelve it and Minister Woods tell us “they will do more than just a review”… and then they did absolutely nothing in several years.
Taxfunded data should be open to use, just like tax funded highways are open for us to use. NZ is the only modern country on earth to not have open data.
Cheers 🙂

I’m far more surprised people using your entirely FREE service are telling you what you can and cannot say in the videos you kindly make us – and are far more upset by you saying something, rather than being upset by the points you actually raise. Must be really hard being up against the Government like this then have people use your free service tell you to keep quiet when you raise these serious problems.
Don’t stop being you.
Great service!

Thanks Stu, we want to remain a free and public service. Comments like yours mean a lot. It’s not easy providing this free service – and sometimes a lonely battle. Thank you.
