Australia VIDEO: Cyclone Alfred (Wednesday) – Fine tuning the forecast: Brisbane, Qld & NSW

We have the latest on Category 2 Tropical Cyclone Alfred as the storm moves westwards now towards land. Cyclone Alfred looks to be making landfall on Friday morning near Brisbane – but severe weather will start as early as today and ramps up across Thursday.

Alfred is moving slowly – this increases the chance of flooding and coastal erosion and inundation. We bring you the latest as we continue to fine tune the forecast for Alfred as it moves into SE Queensland, Brisbane itself and into a large part of NSW too.

Our next update is expected on Thursday afternoon. Follow Australia’s Bureau of Meteorology for all official local warnings.
