Early summer heat is spreading across NZ today as Australia deals with a much cooler change.
Gale force westerlies will also be spreading up parts of NZ over the coming day, easing back on Friday as high pressure rolls in.
In fact high pressure is the dominant feature as we go into the weekend for both NZ and Australia – which will likely be good news for many.
The tropics aren’t overly active but we do track low pressure zones and plenty of downpours there.
And we also have an update on UV levels as they reach “Extreme” over half of NZ and Australia now.

I won’t complain about the map colours. The town names maybe! I mean, Coober Pedy?
