We have a cold front moving slowly up NZ over the next day or so with a surge of windier, colder, weather for Wednesday and Thursday.
The wintry snap will see temperatures plummet by around 10 degrees by day for some parts of the South Island and some brief low level snow.
Colder air will also impact parts of the North Island with a windier SW flow. But it’s short lived – in true spring style warmer windier westerlies return by Friday and for this weekend with high pressure likely centred to NZ’s north.
