High pressure dominates NZ for the next week ahead, parked mostly in the Tasman Sea so allowing a few cold fronts to try to move in – but they won’t do much. The bulk of the rain is in Fiordland and south Westland, with a few showers elsewhere.
Some regions may get 0mm in the next 7 days.
There’s been news this week about a tropical deluge that might come to NZ – but as we explain, for it to get here it needs to contend with high pressure. We break down the possibilities of this rain system reaching NZ and, if so, what then?
