(Recorded Feb 27 NZDT) — The South Pacific is looking much quieter in the week ahead. Last week there were several low pressure zones. By this weekend or early next week there may be none, for the first time in 2024. This means the traditional easterly flow will kick in with the usual showers.
In the Northern Hemisphere it’s more settled around Hawaii and North America, but a couple of storms track over Japan – with more settled weather returning there after.
We also have your 7 day Pacific-wide rainfall map to make sense of all the frequent showers in the tropics.
Our Tropical Updates go during the cyclone season, which ends on April 30th.
