+5 Maps — Florence has been downgraded from a Hurricane to a Tropical Storm and has turned deadly, with reports from US news media saying the death-toll is now five.
Florence has been worse than expected despite the overall weakening in recent days because the storm has basically stalled over the region. Storm surge damage continues, inland flooding and flash flooding continues and damaging winds continue across North Carolina.
Over 600,000 people are now without power and inland flooding is only just starting with over 500mm still expected to come and some have already had well over that.
