A ridge lies over the North Island tomorrow, while a northerly airflow and approaching front affect the South Island.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Mostly sunny with east to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 23-25

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Cloudy areas (especially about Taranaki), chance of a light shower or two otherwise mainly dry. Light winds tending onshore for most in the afternoon.
Highs: 22-25

Eastern North Island

Mostly sunny weather about the Wairarapa, sunny spells for Hawkes Bay with east to northeasterly winds. Gisborne sees cloudy areas with east to southeasterly breezes, cloud breaks later in the day.
Highs: 21-24

Wellington

Sunny with northerly winds.
High: 23

Marlborough & Nelson

Mostly sunny with some high cloud later in the day, north to northwesterly winds.
High: 23-29

Canterbury

Mostly sunny with some high cloud, north to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 26-32

West Coast

Mostly cloudy, some drizzle or the odd shower about. Rain moves into Fiordland during the evening with heavy falls. Northeasterly winds.
Highs: 22-25

Southland & Otago

Thickening high cloud, some rain from evening then clearing overnight. Coastal Otago may remain fairly dry not seeing showers till overnight. North to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 25-28
